Bolton Wanderers Supporters Trust Website Hacked - Is Our Data Secure?

Your guess is as good as mine

A whisper online has turned into a storm with evidence emerging tonight on a Bolton Wanderers fans forum that the club's Supporters Trust website was recently hacked.

This, in itself, isn't too uncommon - however, there has yet to be any sort of communication from the Trust to us, the members, which is concerning.

What is more concerning to me is that I and thousands of others may have had our personal financial data compromised in the hack.

This screengrab comes from a post on Wanderers Ways:

I have emailed the Supporters Trust to find out why members were not notified and whether our personal data has indeed been compromised.

The lack of communication from the Trust has been a huge bugbear ever since their inception, and the lack of acknowledgement from them on this issue should therefore come as little surprise, but given the amount of personal data that they must hold then I believe they should address the incident and put minds at rest.
