We're rolling off perhaps one of the best results of our season; that 2-4 victory against Fleetwood Town. It saw a return of the all beating Wanderers of the first half of the season who rose to score 4 against a team unbeaten in 18 matches.
Along with the return to form the game saw the return of Darren Pratley which very much was not a coincidence. He added energy to a midfield that had been lacking since losing Ameobi and Spearing (briefly). We also saw new boy, Jem Karacan on the bench for Wanderers. Parky this week described him as one of the fittest of our bunch; this either being testament to his fitness or a condemnation of ours.
Gilligham are also coming off the back of a brilliant result. Came from behind to score a hat-trick of penalties against promotion chasers, Scunthorpe United and win 3-2. Luckily for the Wanderers, hat-trick hero Josh Wright received a card in the last game before the amnesty which has him banned for this game.
So on to todays game. Wanderers line up unchanged with:
Alnwick, Dervite, Beevers, Wheater, Derik, Pratley, Vela, Morais, Taylor, Le Fondre and Madine
Bench: Howard, Moxey, Karacan, Long, Trotter, Clayton and Henry
Gillingham: Nelson, Ehmer, Oshilaja, Hessenthaler, McDonald, Martin, Quigley, Dack, Muldoon, Rehman, Byrne
The game has extra incentive for Bolton as a win could see us leapfrog Fleetwood Town in to the automatic promotion places. We have a game in hand over the Codpiece army who are playing tonight against Walsall
