Ben Alnwick - 7
Not much to do but there when required. Made a good save in the first 10 minutes after some sloppy defending. Hopefully the injury isn't too serious
Dorian Dervite - 8.5 MOTM
Very impressive performance. His insistence on playing it long still frustrates, but he showed better composure and was defensively solid. Making that 3rd centre back slot his own.
David Wheater - 7.5
Nothing spectacular, but still did what was required. Dominated in the air and played deep enough that we weren't caught in behind.
Mark Beevers - 8
Magic hat well and truly back on. After an inconsistent few weeks Beevers has really stepped it up again, and as well as behind solid defensively, scored the crucial goal for us today.
Filipe Morais - 8
Does a throw in count as an assist? I'm saying yes. (Editor - no it doesn't)
Quiet in the first half but two more assists for the man who is single-handedly trying to guarantee promotion says it all - he can't be stopped.
Andrew Taylor - 7
Until the injury, he was basically being Andrew Taylor - Dependable but not spectacular. Seems to enjoy the freedom of being a wing-back. Hoping he's not out for the run-in
Derik Osede - 5.5
Unfortunately today really wasn't his day. He bottled a couple of tackles in the first half, and overall distribution was poor. We've come to expect more from a player who is usually much more composed.
Josh Vela - 7
Not the kind of game where you notice what he did, but he covered some serious ground on a very heavy pitch to help us get over the line.
Darren Pratley - 6.5
A bit like Vela, today was more about what he did without the ball. Generally solid apart from getting caught near our own box a couple of times.
Gary Madine - 6
Didn't really have enough time to do anything, as he got injured quite a while before he came off. Looked like his groin, hopefully not too serious.
Adam Le Fondre - 8
He had one chance and scored one goal. Can we ask for any more? Worked as hard as normal but we need to find a better way to play without Madine to get him the service.
Subs
Chris Long -7
Apparently fouls on Chris Long don't count. Worked hard and chased down the long balls, but didn't really have many chances to run in behind.
Dean Moxey - 7
Pleasantly surprising. Defensively solid and composed on the ball. Did exactly what was required.
Mark Howard - 7
A bit of a null rating, he had nothing to do apart from one shanked goal kick. An apt deputy if Alnwick is out for the run in.
