Filipe Morais may only have been here since February, but considering our season basically hinges on whether or not we get promotion, it's hard to look past the man spearheading our current push for the top two/the league title.
Philip Morris as he's become affectionately known (in no small part due to his surprising cockney accent) has been an absolute revelation in a Bolton Wanderers shirt.
Since joining, he has played 12 games, scored two goals and racked up an incredible 11 assists (sorry Chris) placing him third for this particular stat in the entire league.
What makes it all the more impressive is that he's playing in the unfamiliar position of wing back.
It's hard to think of any January/February signing in history having such a profound impact on a team's season and while our turnaround in form has been a team effort, Morais has definitely been the catalyst.
For that reason, he's my Player of the Year.
He's no Mark Marshall though...
