Bolton Wanderers have completed their first signing of the summer in the shape of 28-year-old Jem Karacan.
The Turkish midfielder has signed a one-year deal at the club with an option for another year.
Karacan played five games for the club last season, winning all five, and scored the goal which broke the deadlock against Peterborough on the last day, the game that sealed Wanderers promotion back to the Sky Bet Championship.
Jem spent the last two years at Turkish giants Galatasaray and sampled Champions League football but his deal was mutually terminated after not featuring regularly for manager Jan Olde Riekerink.
He boasts 134 appearances in the Championship and has a promotion to the Premier League on his CV with Reading back in 2012 when the Royals finished 1st and Adam Le Fondre finished their top scorer.
Karacan is a combative all round midfielder who likes to both defend and attack, and is prone to the odd screamer as you can see below.
