According to beIN sports, Bolton Wanderers are interested in recently released former Everton striker, Arouna Kone.
The article states:
“At the end of the contract with Everton on June 30, Arouna Koné is not going to be extended, as the Toffees announced a few days ago.
The 33-year-old Ivory Coast striker, who has scored 10 goals in 62 games since joining the Mersey in 2013, is interested in several Turkish clubs (Sivasspor, Osmanlispor and Yeni Malatyaspor) but also Bolton, promoted to the Championship.”
Arouna Kone, now 33, had been with Everton since 2013. The Ivorian scored 10 goals in 61 games for The Toffees. Before moving to Everton, Kone spent time with PSV, Sevilla, Hannover, Levante and Wigan Athletic. During his time with the Latics between 2012 and 2013, Kone scored 11 times in 34 games, helping the club win the 2013 FA Cup.
Throughout his career, Kone has commanded nearly £30 million in transfer fees.
Kone is also a seasoned international, having played 39 times for the Ivory Coast, scoring 9 goals.
With over 100 career goals to his name, Kone is certainly an experienced goalscorer. Although, he's now 33 and his Everton spell wasn't that prolific.
