Goodbye my lover

In a move that comes as a surprise to nobody, Bolton Wanderers have unloaded flop striker Jamie Proctor to League One side Rotherham United.

That surprising element comes in that the Millers have paid actual cash money for Proctor who, along with others mentioned frequently on this site, will go down in history as one of the poorest strikers we've had in recent history.

One League Cup goal in 29 appearances points at a striker who struggled to make an impact, with his propensity to become injured being a real problem.

A former Preston North End academy graduate, he had done well for Phil Parkinson at Bradford City, but his lack of goalscoring nous was evident from day one, and he never found favour with the notoriously fickle Wanderers fanbase.

His loan spell at Carlisle in League Two saw him find some form, and the rumoured £75,000 deal taking him to Yorkshire is a good deal for all parties involved.
