Bolton Wanderers are making moves in the transfer market, despite the hang-up caused by the seemingly ever-present transfer embargo within which manager Phil Parkinson has found himself stranded.
It seems that he has cast his gaze, Sauron-style, beyond the fields of Pelennor towards Gondor, or Rochdale if you like, with fiesty young midfielder Callum Camps being the precious object of his desire.
The Tameside-born 21 year old has represented Northern Ireland at youth level, and came through the ranks at Spotland where he has gone on to make 90 appearances, scoring 14 goals, a ratio which is broadly comparable with our main strikers of late.
He thrived last season in an attacking '10' role, scoring 8 times in 44 appearances. The similarities in records between Camps and our existing attackers is spooky to behold - and if we could overcome this bastarding embargo then he would surely be a fine addition to the ranks.
We've said it a million times before, but watch this space.
