According to The Sun, Bolton Wanderers are in talks to sign Cameroon international, Jacques Zoua.

The article from The Sun states:

“BOLTON are in talks to sign Cameroon striker Jacques Zoua.

The Kaiserslautern star, 25, is poised to sign a deal to be part of Phil Parkinson’s squad next season in Championship.

He has two years left on his contract with the German second-tier side but a deal has been thrashed out that will see him move without a fee.

Zoua has Champions League experience during a spell with Basel when he won the Swiss title.

He also had moves to Hamburg, Erciyesspor in Turkey and French side Ajaccio, before returning to Germany with Kaiserslautern.

Zoua scored six goals last season and Parkinson belives he can make an impact in the Championship next season.

Talks are at an advance stage with Bolton close to finalising a deal for the Cameroon international.”

Jacques Zoua, 25, is set to leave FC Kaiserslautern after just one season with the club. The striker has plenty of experience of top flight football, having played for Basel in Switzerland, Hamburger SV in Germany and GFC Ajaccio in France.

Zoua has scored fifty career goals in 248 games, and would provide Wanderers with another option up front. Zoua has also played 23 times for Cameroon, although he is yet to score.

Last season, Zoua scored six times as FC Kaiserslautern finished 13th in the 2. Bundesliga.

Zoua has previously been linked with a move to England with West Bromwich Albion back in 2013.

It’s worth noting that the last time Bolton signed a player from FC Kaiserslautern, it worked out pretty well.
