To start us off here are some tips;

You always end up with a player who tanks looking on enviously at those who are racking up the points. Looking on enviously for too long will creat a big points deficit.

You will also not want to lose out with price fluctuations as you look to be able to build a stronger team.

Everyone spends all summer going on about the new big thing. Are they going to be all that from day one? Probably not. While there are plenty of players who are well proven in the Premier League.

It is tempting to pick players who may keep clean sheets. Goalkeepers and defenders pick up a lot of points from them.

But they are not the be all or end all. Keepers making saves means points. Defenders who rack up attacking points can be far more valuable. And in the midfield the solitary point for a clean sheet is hardly worth it.

Players who make saves, get assists and score goals can be far more valuable than those who keep clean sheets.

This one is a little harder but if you find this player early on not only will you get the points boost but also the value boost as others cash in.
