Following on from Wednesday’s 2-1 victory against Crewe Alexandra in the League Cup, Bolton Wanderers return to league action with a trip to London to face Millwall. The Lions will be looking for their first league win of the season, having lost 1-0 away to Nottingham Forest last Saturday.

Wanderers beat Millwall 2-0 home and away last season, and will be hoping for a repeat scoreline upon their return to The Den. Bolton will be buoyed by the fact that they haven’t conceded a goal against Millwall in their last four games. This weekend’s game will be the 44th meeting between the two sides. Wanderers have won 19 of the previous 43, losing 16 and drawing 8.

Team News

Wanderers will still be without Sammy Ameobi, David Wheater and Josh Vela. Filipe Morais may push for a start after playing thirty minutes midweek, but he may have to settle for a place on the bench again.

Meanwhile, Millwall could be without striker Lee Gregory and defender Jake Cooper, both of whom went off injured in the 2-0 League Cup win against Stevenage. Gregory has a hamstring problem, while Cooper is nursing an ankle injury.
