According to The Newcastle Chronicle, Bolton Wanderers are one of several clubs interested in Newcastle United starlet, Sean Longstaff, who is currently on loan with League One side Blackpool. The article from the Chronicle states:
"Joining Bournemouth’s talent spotter in the main stand during Blackpool’s 3-1 home win against Oxford United at the weekend were scouts from Bristol City, Barnsley, and Bolton Wanderers. Newcastle are pleased with Longstaff’s progress so far but want him to continue getting first-team experience before returning to pre-season training next July."
The 19 year old has excelled at Bloomfield Road, scoring four times in six games. With his loan deal up at the start of January, Wanderers may well move for the attacking midfielder.
Longstaff is also the nephew of Wanderers legend Alan Thompson, so he may well have a say on what club the youngster chooses.
Wanderers have certainly missed an attacking edge in midfield during Josh Vela's stint on the sidelines.
