Carabararo Cup: West Ham 3-0 Bolton Wanderers - Immediate Reaction

Sigh

1,000 hardy souls made their way to London to follow Bolton Wanderers who faced West Ham United in the Carbararo Cup.

Most of them supported the club with distinction. Some mimicked explosions and made lewd requests of nearby female stewards. Some left at half time.

It wasn’t much better on the field. Two first half goals put paid to Wanderers’ ambitions, as what has officially become the worst start to a season in our entire history continued. The opposition made it three in the last minute but realistically speaking, Wanderers were never at the races.

As expected, Parkinson made several changes, some of them head-scratchingly bizarre, but I’ll save that for another article.

So we are out of the cup. Does anyone really care? I doubt it.

Brentford at home this weekend is far more important. There has been an undercurrent of anti-Parky sentiment online tonight - lose at weekend and those voices might get a bit louder. Let’s hope that doesn’t happen.
