According to numerous sources from the French and Belgian media, Bolton Wanderers have handed a trial to French winger, Jean-Luc Dompe.
An article from Belgian site DH states:
“Finally, still in the direction of departures, Jean-Luc Dompé will begin this Wednesday, a two-day test to ... Bolton, current 21st in the Championship (D2 English). In an unenviable situation (28 minutes of playing time) in Amiens, who decided to stop his loan (without option), the Frenchman allowed himself the luxury of refusing the Greek club of Atromitos, though 4th at five points of the head.”
So who is Jean-Luc Dompe? Well, the 22 year old is a former French youth international, and can play on either wing.
Dompe started his career with Valenciennes FC, and is currently on the books of Belgian side Standard Liege. Time will tell whether or not Dompe will make the grade at Wanderers.
His contract only runs until the end of the season, so we could see him sign permanently should he impressed whilst on trial.
