According to reports from The Daily Mirror, Bolton Wanderers are confident of keeping hold of top goalscorer Gary Madine, despite interest from Sunderland.
The snippet from The Mirror’s transfer news page states:
“Bolton boss Phil Parkinson hopes he can keep hold of star striker Gary Madine after watching him put in another match-winning display against Hull City.
Sunderland are among the clubs monitoring the £3million-rated front man, whose superb free-kick helped lift his team out of the bottom three for only the second time since August.
Madine has now scored nine goals in Bolton’s relegation scrap and Parkinson is keeping his fingers crossed his chairman Ken Anderson does not look to cash in this month.”
I’m sure this won’t be the last we hear about Madine this January window.
The form Gary Madine is in, it’s imperative that Wanderers keep hold of him.
With nine goals and five assists so far this season, he’s in the form of his life. If Wanderers want to remain in The Championship.
Gary Madine, the goal machine!
