According to The Daily Mail, Bolton Wanderers are interested in Derby County midfielder, Jamie Hanson.
The Mail state:
“But one player who could be on his way out of Derby is midfielder Jamie Hanson, who is wanted by Wigan Athletic and Bolton Wanderers.
The 22-year-old, who spent part of last season on loan at promotion chasing Wigan, figured as a substitute for Derby in their FA Cup defeat at Manchester United after battling back to fitness from a troublesome calf injury.
Hanson can play in midfield or as a centre back and right back. His versatility also appeals to Championship rivals Bolton Wanderers but ambitious Wigan are looking for a midfielder after losing former loanee Lee Evans to Sheffield United while clubs are also following Egypt international Sam Morsy.”
Hanson played seventeen times for Wigan last season in The Championship. Most notably a defensive midfielder, Hanson can also play at centre back as the quote from The Mail states above.
Wanderers are obviously in the market for a new defender and midfielder, and should West Ham United pair Reece Burke and Josh Cullen not return, then former England U20 international Jamie Hanson could be an option.
