It wouldn’t be the transfer window without this rumour, and it’ll tear at the heartstrings of every Wanderers fan.

According to The Sun, Bolton Wanderers are interested in Crystal Palace midfield pair Lee Chung-Yong and Jordon Mutch.

The quote from The Sun states:

“Bolton want to sign two Crystal Palace midfielders on loan to lift their Championship survival hopes.

Lee Chung-Yong - who the Trotters sold to Palace in 2015 - is on Phil Parkinson’s wish list.

The Bolton boss also fancies Jordon Mutch. Neither player features in Eagles chief Roy Hodgson’s plans.”

So Wanderers are after Chungy again, according to speculation.

It was only last Summer that Wanderers failed with a loan move for Chungy.

Both Chungy and Jordon Mutch have failed to break into the Palace side this season. Chungy has played six times in all competitions, whilst Mutch hasn’t played at all.

Chungy would be a useful signing, due to his versatility. He’s also out of contract in the Summer.

Jordon Mutch, who cost Crystal Palace around £5 million back in 2015, feels like another option should Josh Cullen remain at West Ham United.

Chungy would also want to try and push himself into contention for the South Korean team at the 2018 World Cup. Game time with Wanderers would be handy.

With Wanderers needing a striker before the window closes, should they be after two midfielders?

That being said, it’d be great to see Chungy play in a Wanderers shirt again.
