According to Wales Online, Cardiff City are interested in a move for Bolton Wanderers striker, Gary Madine.
The article from Wales Online states:
“Cardiff City are interested in bringing Bolton striker Gary Madine to South Wales during the January transfer window. Danny Ward remains sidelined having undergone knee surgery while Kenneth Zohore, Rhys Healey, and Omar Bogle have all had injury problems in the 2017-18 campaign.
And WalesOnline understands that Neil Warnock could turn to Bolton hitman Madine in a bid to bolster his side’s attacking options to get the Bluebirds’ promotion bid back on track following a miserable festive period.”
The article goes on to say that the fee could prove to be a stumbling block. Other publications have speculated that Wanderers would value Madine at around £3 million.
Like I’ve said before, it’s all hearsay until a bid is made. Wanderers cannot afford to let Madine go.
He’s vital to the way Bolton play, as well as being Wanderers’ top goalscorer. Madine is in the form of his life, and to sell him would basically throw away any chance Bolton have of staying in the Championship.
