Former Bolton Wanderers player Derik Osede has been without a club since leaving Wanderers at the end of last season, but could have finally found a new club. Derik has gone on trial with Segunda Division Numancia, in the hopes of earning a deal with the Spanish side.
A new face at CD Numancia, @derikosede. He will be training with us over the next few days while being evaluated. Good luck lad! pic.twitter.com/OncKrkb68O

Spanish publication MARCA stated:
“Numancia has returned to training on Wednesday, and has done so with a new component. The Madrid footballer, of Nigerian descent, Derik Osede (21-2-93) has been exercised along with the rest of the squad. He will be tested in the team during the next few days with the objective of being evaluated by the technical staff headed by López Garai.”
Derik spent three years with Bolton, joining from Real Madrid in 2015. Sadly, Derik failed to live up to the hype that had built up upon his arrival, scoring twice in 71 games for the club.
Neither Neil Lennon or Phil Parkinson knew Derik’s best position, with the Spaniard filling in at right back, centre back and centre midfield. Despite a couple flashes that Derik could have been a great player for Bolton, he was largely too inconsistent, which meant we never really saw the best of him.
Still only 25, Derik has time to forge out a solid career.
Everyone at LOV wishes Derik the best of luck with his trial.
