Chris’ Ratings - Bolton Wanderers 0-1 Leeds United

I didn’t enjoy the game on Saturday. We discovered a new kind of cold and we lost, again.

My ratings:

Ben Alnwick - 5

Kicking was appalling and I wonder whether he might’ve done better with their winner. Only a good save early on keeps him from a lower score.

Pavel Olkowski - 5

Struggled to get forward and is deceptively slow when on the back foot. He might still be the ‘Bolton Cafu’ but Cafu is pushing 50 and he’s probably in better form than Pav.

David Wheater - 6

A couple of nice slide tackles in wet weather always gets me excited. Best of a bad bunch.

Jack Hobbs - 5

Megged for the goal. Players who get megged should be dropped and fined.

Andrew Taylor - 5

Another nothing performance. I can’t get excited about anything that he does.

Joe Williams - 4

Another disappointing performance. How is he an automatic pick? His troubles are symbolic of our downfall. I’d rather we had kept Josh Cullen.

Jason Lowe - 4

One of the most pointless signings in recent years. Makes me yearn for Medo Kamara. Again he struggled and again he’ll be assured of a game next week because that’s how we fucking roll.

Craig Noone - 4

Weak as piss. A winger who can’t take people on or cross the ball. Wasn’t a pen either.

Josh Vela - 4

This is why he has hardly played. Plenty of running in the first half but I’m not sure he touched the ball in the second. Time to call time on his Wanderers career. Blackpool await.

Will Buckley - 2

No heart, no fight, no battle and pretty much missing everything that I want to see in a Bolton player. He’s literally ‘there’ and nothing else. Chipped in to their winning goal by losing the ball in typically pathetic fashion. A disgrace.

Josh Magennis - 5

Out of his depth but at least he tried. He can’t flick the ball on to himself. Massively let down by his teammates.
