Six pointer

Following on from last weeks 1-0 defeat to Leeds United, Bolton Wanderers travel to Griffin Park to take on the struggling Brentford. With Bolton having one win in their last eighteen games & winless in twelve, they take on a Brentford who have also sank down the table since Dean Smith’s departure to Aston Villa.

To call this game a six pointer is an understatement. It’s the first game of the busy festive period, one in which both teams desperately need to get points on the board.

Bolton’s recent record at Griffin Park isn’t great, with their last win way back in October 1989. Since then, they’ve lost four and drawn once.

What should give Bolton confidence is Thomas Frank’s record as Brentford manager. The Bees have won just once, averaging 0.4 points a game.

Team News

Craig Noone will miss the game after picking up five yellow cards, whilst Mark Beevers & Sammy Ameobi should return after missing the Leeds game through injury and suspension respectively.

Meanwhile for the hosts, Lewis Macleod and Emiliano Marcondes will miss the game.

Odds
