So it looked as if Bolton Wanderers had just pulled off a fantastic comeback against top of the table Norwich City.
Goals from Vrancic and Stiepermann had put the Canaries fully in control, but then goals from Sammy Ameobi and Mark Beevers looked to have secured a vital point for Wanderers.
However, this is Bolton Wanderers we’re talking about. Firstly, Sammy Ameobi was sent off for a second bookable offence. It was a cheap foul to giveaway, and going down to ten men cost Bolton dearly shortly after.
Deep into stoppage time, Bolton couldn’t seem to clear & Teemu Pukki was on hand to rifle the ball into the goal from twelve yards out.
Football is cruel, but we’re Bolton Wanderers fans. We already knew that.
It’s another spirited performance with nothing to show for it. The winless run stretches to eleven games, with just one win in our last seventeen games.
Next up it’s on form Leeds United. Oh boy.
