A new look Bolton Wanderers will take on high flying Bristol City at The Macron Stadium tonight. In front of the Sky Cameras, the game offers Wanderers the perfect opportunity to show everyone that they can win a game without former striker Gary Madine.
Wanderers’ top goalscorer was of course sold to Cardiff City on transfer deadline day, for a fee reported to be worth up to £6 million.
Bolton were also busy bringing in new faces on deadline day, with the likes of Nottingham Forest striker Tyler Walker, Liverpool’s Jon Flanagan and former Wanderer Zach Clough all joining the club on loan.
All three new players, as well as the returning Reece Burke, will be hoping to come into the side tonight.
League Cup Semi-Finalists Bristol City have only won once in their last six games, but haven’t lost against Wanderers since 2013.
Team News
David Wheater and Aaron Wilbraham are doubts for the game, whilst Darren Pratley remains sidelined as he recovers from the leg injury sustained against Hull City. As mentioned above, new signings Tyler Walker, Jon Flanagan and Zach Clough could all come into the side to make their debuts.
For Bristol, striker Matty Taylor joins Eros Pisano (hamstring), Jens Hegeler (knee), Callum O’Dowda (ankle) and Milan Djuric on the injury list. Nathan Baker will be missing through suspension.
