According to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon, Bolton Wanderers are interested in a loan move for Sheffield Wednesday striker, Jordan Rhodes.
The article from today’s Sun on Sunday states:
“SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY are ready to cut their losses on Jordan Rhodes at the end of the season.
The Owls could let striker Rhodes, 28, go on loan to get his big wages off their payroll.
They may even have to settle for just a slice of his current salary being paid.
Ipswich Town tried to take Rhodes on loan in the last window and may be back.
Bolton Wanderers would be bidders if they stay in the Championship.”
Dougie Freedman was linked with Rhodes way back, and now Phil Parkinson is said to be eyeing a move for him.
Despite only scoring four times in twenty-eight games for Wednesday, Rhodes is a proven Championship scorer. Bolton fans know that, he loves a goal against us.
So if Wanderers stay in the Championship, a loan move could be on the cards. That being said, he’s going to be huge wages at Wednesday, so maybe even taking on a slither of that could be too much for Bolton.
Would it be great? Yes.
Do I see it happening? Probably not.
