According to The Nottingham Post, Bolton Wanderers are one of a number of teams interested in Nottingham Forest defender, Eric Lichaj.

The article from The Post states:

“A clutch of Championship clubs are interested in signing Eric Lichaj this summer – while the Nottingham Forest defender is also attracting attention from the MLS.

Hull, Bolton, Bristol City and QPR are all understood to be keen on the American defender, who is entering into the final year of his contract at the City Ground.

The 29-year-old full back, who can play on either side of the back four, is a popular figure among fans, having followed up his player-of-the-season award 12 months ago, by bagging one of the goals of the campaign this time around, against Arsenal in the FA Cup, when he found the top corner with a volley from the edge of the box.”

Lichaj played twenty-eight times for Forest last season, scoring three times.

The former Aston Villa defender has played plenty of games in the Championship, and would be a versatile and experienced option for Bolton to consider.

Lichaj has also played 14 times for the USA, scoring once.

Wanderers could do with a player to compete with Mark Little for the right back spot, with Stephen Darby seemingly out of favour.

Bolton would have to bid for the defender, as Lichaj still has a year to run on his current deal.
