The Nigerian winger scored four times in 36 games for Wanderers last season, including that sensational solo goal against Bristol City in February.
Upon signing the new deal, Ameobi stated:
“It’s great to have signed a new deal because this place means a lot to me. I’m really excited to be back and I can’t wait to get started.
“I spoke to the manager and he knows me very well. I get on so well with everyone here and it’s such a wonderful environment to work in. That was a huge factor in me wanting to stay here.”
It’s also stated that Ameobi turned down other Championship clubs in order to remain with Bolton.
On his day, Ameobi can be a key figure for Wanderers. So let’s hope we see some fantastic match winning performances this coming season.
