Our World Cup 2018 Predictions: Eddie

Over the next week, the LOV team will put their reputations on the line and share their predictions for the upcoming World Cup in Russia. How will England do? Who will be top goalscorer and the big question - Who will win the World Cup?

Here are my predictions:

How far will England get? If they get to the Quarter-Finals, it’ll have been a successful tournament. Anything further than that would be a welcome and surprising bonus.

Your England Starting XI: (3-5-2) Jordan Pickford, Kyle Walker, John Stones, Gary Cahill, Danny Rose, Kieran Trippier, Eric Dier, Jesse Lingard, Dele Alli, Raheem Sterling, Harry Kane

England’s Top Goal Scorer: Harry Kane

Competition Winners: France. Their squad is sensational.

Runner Up: Germany. The reigning champs will just miss out on retaining their title.

Final Four: France, Germany, Spain, Brazil

Surprise Team: Iceland. It’s all about that clap.

Flop Team: Croatia

Golden Ball Winner: Neymar

Best Young player: Kylian Mbappé

Golden Boot: Antoine Griezmann. His goals will fire France to the final.

Golden Glove Winner: Alisson

Surprise Player: Jesse Lingard. His recent performance against The Netherlands makes me think he can surprise a few people.

Flop Player: Cristiano Ronaldo
