We’ve seen plenty of rumours about players coming to Bolton Wanderers, and now a player has been linked with a move away.

According to The Sun journalist Alan Nixon, Wanderers U23 defender and New Zealand international, Adam Mitchell, is being eyed up for a loan move to Scottish side Partick Thistle.

Mitchell, a 21 year old centre half, has been a mainstay in David Lee’s U23 side this year, contributing to their fine form.

Adam Mitchell has had a varied career. Born in Croatia, he started with New Zealand side Wanderers Special Club in 2013, before moving on to play for WaiBOP United in 2015.

Mitchell then moved to Serbian giants Red Star Belgrade in 2016, but failed to make an appearance.

A brief stint in Slovenia with NK Celje followed, before Mitchell was handed a trial alongside Julio Baptista at Wanderers in September.

Mitchell played a vital role as Wanderers’ U23s were crowned Northern and overall Champions of the Professional Development League.

After making his international debut in March, Adam Mitchell has made four appearances for The All-Whites.

Partick Thistle were relegated to the Scottish Championship via the play-offs last season.
