According to Richard Cawley of the South London Press, Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper Ben Amos is set to join Millwall on a season long loan.
The article in the SLP states:
“Ben Amos is set to sign a season-long loan deal with Millwall. It will be a return to South London for the 28-year-old Bolton Wanderers goalkeeper, who spent the last campaign on loan with Charlton Athletic.
The arrival of the former Manchester United shotstopper will ramp up the pressure on current Den number one Jordan Archer. The Lions freed up space to add in that area after Tom King was loaned to AFC Wimbledon.”
The move will see Amos reunite with former Bolton goalkeeping coach Lee Turner, who also worked with him at Charlton last season. It’s not stated how much of Amos’ wages Millwall will be paying.
If reports are to be believed, Wanderers are eyeing a new goalkeeper to replace Amos and to act as competition for Ben Alnwick.
