Transfer Gossip: Bolton Wanderers reportedly eye move for former Nottingham Forest defender

A potential new centre back?

Birmingham City V Nottingham Forest- Sky Bet Championship

According to a tweet from Alan Nixon of The Sun, Bolton Wanderers are reportedly interested in former Liverpool, Leicester City, Hull City & Nottingham Forest defender, Jack Hobbs.

Hobbs, 29, began his career with Lincoln City, before moving to Liverpool in 2005. The Reds reportedly beat Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Bolton Wanderers to his signature (according to his wikipedia).

Hobbs would go on to play five times for Liverpool in four years. In 2009, the defender moved to Leicester permanently, having been successful in his loan spell the previous season.

Hobbs then signed for Hull City in 2011, before moving to Nottingham Forest in 2013.

The defender has clocked up more than 300 career appearances, including over 200 in The Championship.

Injury problems has stagnated his career more recently, having only played five times for Forest last season.

Now at 29, Jack Hobbs is looking to get his career back on track & that could be with Wanderers, if reports are to be believed. With just Mark Beevers and David Wheater as the only first team centre backs, Wanderers could do another player in that role.

If he can stay injury free, Hobbs could be a decent option for Bolton to pursue.
