According to reports from Italian site tuttomercatoweb, Bolton Wanderers are reportedly interested in Brescia left back, Felipe Curcio.

In a rough translation, the article states:

“Possibility abroad for the left-back of Brescia Felipe Curcio . According to the editorial staff of TuttoMercatoWeb.com , the player, linked to the swallows until 2020, would be courted by Bolton Wanderers , an English football club.”

Starting his career in his homeland of Brazil, 24 year old Felipe Curcio moved to Italy in 2013 to play for Foggia. After spells in the Italian lowers leagues with Lupa Roma, Martina Franca and Fidelis Andria, Curcio moved to Serie B side Brescia in January. The side are currently ran by former Leeds United owner, Massimo Cellino.

Curcio played seventeen times for Brescia in the second half of last season.

As far as rumours go, this one seems quite unlikely.

Whilst Wanderers are definitely in the market for a left back, I can’t see them going for an Italian/Brazilian who has spent his career playing in the second & third tier of Italian football. Especially one who is contracted with Brescia until 2020.

That being said, stranger things have happened.

Do you think Felipe Curcio would be a good signing for Wanderers? Let us know in the comments box below.
