Wanderers sides don’t venture this far south very often.

What do you mean you have never heard of Mousehole AFC? You have at least heard of Paul right? No, not the one in accounts, the place in Cornwall.

Bolton Wanderers’ under-18s will be travelling down to Cornwall to take on Mousehole in the Endorsed Cup. The match will take place at 7pm on Friday 20 July.

Bolton’s under age side will then take part in a match at either 11am or 2pm depending on the outcome of Friday’s game against a youth team from either Newcastle United or Huddersfield Town.

Gavin McCann (since when?) and Nick Spooner give their thoughts on the tournament below (unless you came to this through Apple News apparently in which case you can find this on Mousehole AFC’s Facebook page):

Full even details are as follows:

The Endorsed Cup is a mini tournament put together by Endorsed Academy.

It is bringing together Pro U18 teams to compete against Mousehole AFC first team.

It is a two day tournament, with semi finals on Friday and the Final and 3rd/4th place matches on Saturday.

Food and drink will be available all day as well as different entertainment off the pitch.

The event has been put in place to support the Cornish footballing community and give young players a pathway to aim for.

Tickets can be brought either for the one day or the full weekend by following this link.
