Last week, it was revealed that Bolton Wanderers are interested in Bradford City striker, Charlie Wyke. Both The Sun and The Bolton News confirmed Wanderers’ interest.

Phil Parkinson is said to be a long term admirer, and it’s thought that it would take a fee of up to £1 million to steal him away from his former club.

Now, Sky Sports reporter Keith Downie has revealed that two other Championship clubs, Preston North End and Wigan Athletic, are also interested in Wyke.

The 25 year old former Middlesbrough and Carlisle United striker joined Bradford in January 2017 for £250,000. In 62 games for Bradford, Wyke has scored 23 goals.

Wanderers are on the lookout for a new striker, and have also been linked to Ipswich Town’s Joe Garner, with a £500,000 fee mooted.

Who would you rather have - Joe Garner or Charlie Wyke? Let us know in the comments box below.

In other news, Wanderers announced that they will host La Liga side Girona FC at Leyland County Ground on 21st July. The Spanish side finished 10th in their first ever season in the top flight.

Also, the kick off time for the St Mirren game has been switched from 3pm to 12:30pm, to avoid a potential clash should England make it to the Quarter-Finals of the World Cup.
