Starting to worry

Nine days to go til Bolton Wanderers face their opening game of the 2018/19 Championship season away at recently relegated West Bromwich Albion.

Bolton, at the time of writing, have about 17 first team players on the books. We all know this is nowhere near enough.

So, in trawling the internet late at night whilst watching a Godzilla cartoon on Netflix, I came upon a very interesting list of free transfers whom I think might represent good signings for my beloved Wanderers.

You may agree. You may disagree. I may care, I may not - either way I would love to hear your thoughts on mine:

Wesley Hoolahan - former Norwich City man. Versatile and talented. Would offer a taller alternative to Erhun Oztumer.

Abel Hernandez - experienced ex-Hull City and Palermo striker. Was linked to Leeds United before they went all fancy.

Nedum Onuoha - ex-Manchester City man who, I hear, was invited on our Scottish tour. Would offer tons of experience.

Moses Odubajo - another former Hull City man, Odubajo has suffered from injury of late but is a quality performer when fit.

Jason Shackell - formerly of Derby County and Burnley, he would be a great addition to the backline replacing one of David Wheater or Mark Beevers.

Ross Wallace - another former Burnley man, has a left-foot that the kids (or that weird Nathan guy who sets up 100s of accounts including SuperInsider73) call a ‘wand’.

Mustafa Carayol - an attacking wide player with bags of experience in the Championship, most notably with Middlesbrough.

Bakary Sako - a good player with Wolves before Wolves became half decent (Christ I hate typing that), Sako would offer that explosive pace and power that we so lack.

Rob Huth - we need someone with more experience than you can shake a stick at. Plus the kids would love his Twitter bantz.

In fact, sign them all!
