Transfer Gossip: Bolton Wanderers trail Wigan Athletic in race to sign Jedi

According to The Liverpool echo, Wigan Athletic have taken the lead in the race to sign Everton left back, Antonee Robinson.

“Wigan Athletic are interested in signing Antonee Robinson on loan. The 20-year-old Everton left-back is now available after the Blues completed the signing of Lucas Digne from Barcelona earlier today.

Digne and Leighton Baines will compete for the left-back slot which leaves the talented Robinson free to leave on a short-term deal to aid his development. Bolton Wanderers had been favourites to take the USA international on loan for a second season running but the ECHO understands that the DW Stadium has now emerged as a more likely destination for the Academy graduate.”
