Bolton Wanderers have just announced the signing of Norwich City goalkeeper, Remi Matthews. The 24 year old joins on an initial loan deal, which will become permanent in January.

So who is Remi Matthews?

Well, the 24 year old has been with Norwich City his entire career. The goalkeeper has had several loan spells away, with Burton Albion, Doncaster Rovers, Hamilton & Plymouth Argyle.

Matthews spent last season with Plymouth, keeping ten clean sheets in twenty-seven games.

Upon his arrival at Wanderers, Remi Matthews told the official site:

“I’m delighted to be here. This is a massive club that is going places and the main thing for me is that I wanted to come to a football club with ambition.

”This was definitely the move that I wanted to get done. It’s a different scenery after being at Norwich for so long, but it’s a massive club that should be in the Premier League.”
