According to HITC Sport, Bolton Wanderers & Ipswich Town are interested in AFC Wimbledon defender, Deji Oshilaja.
The article from HITC states:
“Championship duo Ipswich Town and Bolton Wanderers are both trying to sign AFC Wimbledon defender Deji Oshilaja before the loan window closes at the end of the month, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club. Both clubs have made loan offers with obligations to buy Oshilaja on a permanent basis when the transfer window reopens in January, but League One AFC Wimbledon have rejected the offers. AFC Wimbledon are reluctant to sell Oshilaja despite the fact they could lose him for free next summer when his contract expires.”
I’m not surprised that Wimbledon are reluctant to sell their captain.
25 year old Deji Oshilaja began his career with Cardiff City, but only made three appearances for the South Wales side between 2012 and 2017. Oshilaja spent time on loan at the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, County and Gillingham.
In 2017, the centre back joined Wimbledon, and has gone on to score three times in 75 games.
Do you think Wanderers need another centre back? Let us know in the comments box below.
