According to reports from The Sun, Bolton Wanderers are reportedly interested in a loan move for Stoke City midfielder, Charlie Adam.

The 32 year old is out of favour at Stoke, having not made an appearance for them in the Championship this season.

Having previously been linked with moves to Rangers and Aston Villa, it’s now Wanderers who have been linked with move for the Scottish international. Turning professional with Rangers in 2003, Adam spent six years at Ibrox before signing for then Championship side Blackpool in 2009.

Under manager Ian Holloway, Adam played an integral role as the Seasiders were astonishingly promoted to the Premier League in 2010. His form for Blackpool attracted the attention of Liverpool, who signed him in July 2011 for £6.75 million after Blackpool were relegated.

After just a season at Anfield, Adam moved to Stoke City for £4 million.

In his fifteen year career, Adam has played over 250 games in the Premier League and Championship, as well as over fifty games in the SPL.

He’s certainly experienced, but is he past his best? Let us know in the comments box below.
