Transfer Gossip: Beevers to Rangers rumours resurface

Stevie G is reportedly still chasing Beevers

A little while ago, Bolton Wanderers defender Mark Beevers was linked with a move to Steven Gerrard’s Rangers. It was said at the time at Rangers sent scouts to watch Beevers play against Girona.

Now, with three days to go in the transfer window, those rumours have resurfaced again.

Big pinch of salt with this, but according to the Daily Star, Beevers is being targeted by Rangers for a late swoop.

The article from The Star states:

“Starsport understands Gerrard still wants another left-sided player on board. And Bolton’s Beevers is on his radar. The Rangers boss has already failed with a bid to land Millwall ace Jake Cooper and a loan offer for Bournemouth’s Jake Simpson. Beevers has played in all of Bolton’s Championship matches this season, and boss Phil Parkinson would likely be reluctant to lose the former Sheffield Wednesday and Millwall man.”

Beevers has been virtually ever present in his time at the UNIBOL, as Bolton gained promotion to The Championship in 2017 & stayed up last season.

No clue if this is just rehashing an old story or agent talk to try and push a move.

Regardless, Wanderers can’t afford to be losing players, especially in defence. We're running out of loan spaces & there's no telling how long it'd take for a fre agent to get up to speed.

Hypothetically, what sort of bid would you sell Mark Beevers for? Let us know in the comments box below.
