Transfer Gossip: Bolton Wanderers eye loan move for Aston Villa winger

According to The Daily Mirror, Bolton Wanderers are interested in Aston Villa winger, Andre Green.

The Mirror reported:

“Norwich and Bolton are battling to secure Aston Villa’s Andre Green on loan, writes Adrian Kajumba.

England under-20 winger Green’s prospects of getting game time at Villa have been hit by the loan arrivals of wide men Anwar El Ghazi and Yannick Bolasie.”

Aside from being a favourite of mine on Football Manager, who is Andre Green?

Well, the England U20 international has been with Villa his whole career, scoring once in 31 games for the first team, two of which were in the Premier League.

Green has played four times this season, though Bolasie’s arrival will restrict his minutes.

Highly rated at Villa Park, Green was linked with a move to Southampton earlier in the window.

If reports are to be believed, Green would join Wanderers to compete with Sammy Ameobi, Will Buckley, Craig Noone and Yanic Wildschut for a place out wide.
