According to reports from The Sun, Bolton Wanderers’ vice captain Josh Vela is a potential target for Blackburn Rovers, should they sell Bradley Dack to West Bromwich Albion.

The Sun stated:

“WEST BROM have seen a £7million bid for Blackburn star Bradley Dack rejected - but the club are still hopeful of sealing a deal before the loan window shuts tomorrow. It is believed that Blackburn may turn their attention to Bolton’s Josh Vela as a replacement should Dack leave this week. Rovers boss Tony Mowbray is a long term admirer of the youth product at the University of Bolton Stadium. Bolton are thought to value the 24-year-old at around £5m, although the club have made it clear they do not want to lose the player before the close of the deadline.”

Vela has been an integral member of Wanderers’ squad in the past couple of seasons, helping the club gain promotion to the Championship & then helping them stay up.

Earlier in the week via the Bolton News, Wanderers reiterated the point that Vela would not be sold.
