According to reports from Sky Sports, Bolton Wanderers have been linked with Aston Villa midfielder, Gary Gardner.
The article from Sky Sports’ site states:
“Aston Villa midfielder Gary Gardner is the subject of interest from Championship sides West Brom, QPR and Bolton, Sky sources understand.”
The 26 year old centre midfielder has been with Aston Villa his whole career, but has had several loan spells away.
Last season, Gardner was loaned to Barnsley, scoring twice in thirty games. The midfielder also captained the Yorkshire side on a few occasions. Garnder is under contract with Villa until 2020, so if Wanderers’ reported interest is true, then loan move looks most likely.
Wanderers have recently signed Luke Muprhy & Gary O’Neil, so I’m not sure they really need an extra central midfielder.
Expect Wanderers to be busy before the deadline next Thursday, with a new goalkeeper, left back and striker all thought to be on their way.
