Transfer Gossip: Bolton Wanderers linked with Auxerre midfielder

A new midfielder?

According to reports from The Sun, Bolton Wanderers are interested in Auxerre midfielder, Abdoulaye Sissako.

The snippet from The Sun states:

“BOLTON are eyeing a deal for Auxerre youngster Abdoulaye Sissako. The French midfielder, 20, will be allowed to leave for a free transfer with a sell-on clause for his next club. Phil Parkinson is among the Championship managers interested in bringing the youngster to England this season.”

Sissako has played eighteen times for Auxerre in all competitions.

The midfielder has also represented France at U19 level. The highly rated youngster was linked with a move to Aston Villa last season.

It’s known that Phil Parkinson is after a creative midfielder, with Stephen Ireland the man linked in recent times.

For free, a move for Sissako makes sense. A player with huge potential and no cost seems like a good deal.
