Transfer Deadline Day: LIVE

In very hopeful fashion, we’ll bring you any potential transfer news relating to Bolton Wanderers

Much earlier than usual, Transfer Deadline Day is upon us today. Bolton Wanderers have been linked with plenty of players, but whether they’ll come in today remains to be seen.

We’re still able to make loan signings until the end of August, while free agents can sign at any time, so there’s not masses of pressure to push deals through today - plus, we might be in a better position to get Premier League loanees in once their transfer activity is complete this evening.

So who are the likely suspects? Well, rumours we’ve heard include goalkeepers David Stockdale and Jed Steer, defenders Jonathan Grounds and Greg Halford, young French midfielder Abdoulaye Sissako and Ipswich Town striker Joe Garner. And realistically we need a left-back, another goalkeeper, potentially another centre-back, winger and a striker.

This time last year (near enough), Bolton only brought in Craig Noone. Then on Deadline Day in January we sold Big Gary Madine for £6 million to Cardiff City - you’re welcome Cardiff - but re-signed Reece Burke on loan, made the pointless loan signings of Tyler Walker and Zach Clough as well as Jon Flanagan, and had bids turned down for Josh Magennis, who has since joined us.

We’ll keep you updated on all the latest transfer news, rumours and gossip from Wanderers and wider afield in the Comments section below.
