So Bolton Wanderers didn’t manage to sign any players on (the 1st) Deadline Day.
Now, we move on to the loan window, with a goalkeeper, left back, midfielder and striker all thought to be the targets.
As reported by Marc Iles on his Bolton News Deadline Day blog, Wanderers are looking at a loan deal for MK Dons midfielder/forward, Chuks Aneke.
The snippet from the Bolton News states:
“According to sources close to the player, an offer to loan the 25-year-old former Arsenal man is now being discussed.
Clubs can still make offers to loan, with a view to sign in January.”
The 25 year old attacking midfielder began his career with Arsenal, but only made one appearance for The Gunners in the League Cup.
Aneke flourished during two years on loan with Crewe, scoring 24 goals in 82 games for the League One side.
A move to Belgium with Zulte Waregem followed, before MK Dons brought him back to England in 2016.
Aneke scored ten times for MK last season as they were relegated to League Two.
