The window may have shut on Friday until January, but that hasn’t stopped the rumours from cropping up.
Well, according to reports in The Sun, Bolton Wanderers are keeping an eye on Port Vale midfielder, Luke Hannant.

If you can’t see the picture, the snippet from The Sun states:
“Bolton are checking on Port Vale’s late developer Luke Hannant, 24. Former Gateshead midfielder Hannant, went to university before turning pro. And now his efforts in League Two are catching the eye.”
So who is Luke Hannant?
Well, the midfielder played youth football for Norwich City & Cambridge United, but couldn’t break through into professional football.
After spending time in the lower leagues whilst going to University, Hannant was signed by National League side Gateshead in 2016.
Eighteen months later, Hannant was signed by Port Vale for a five figure fee.
Capable of playing in the middle or out wide, Hannant has so far impressed for Port Vale, scoring three goals in twenty-five games.
Hannant’s contract expires at the end of the season, so if Wanderers’ reported interested is true, then he might be available for a small fee in January.
