Transfer News: Wanderers sign Lloyd Dyer on short term deal

We weren't expecting this!

Bolton Wanderers have just announced the short term signing of ex-Burton Albion winger Lloyd Dyer.

The announcement has come as a surprise but is one which I’m sure will be warmly welcomed and may even be a necessity with the long-term injury loss of Sammy Ameobi.

Primarily favouring the left side, without a current out and out left winger available to us, Dyer is a perfect addition to the side which may see him play parallel to Craig Noone or Yanic Wildschut out on the right.

Phil Parkinson has added that Dyer has the capability of also playing left wing back which allows for defensive re-inforcements with a potential lay off of Andy Taylor and the out of form Jonathan Grounds.

Having been previously linked with the club on several occasions, he was a well-known target and has supposedly previously turned down opportunities to join the club but now finds himself a key addition to Wanderers’ ranks and I’m sure his arrival will be well received should he make his first appearance on Saturday against Derby County.

From all at LOV and Bolton Wanderers, welcome to the club, Lloyd!

Let us know what you make of the signing in the comments below.
