Ahead of tonight’s game against Reading, another team has been linked with Bolton Wanderers’ promising youngster, Luca Connell.

Tottenham Hotspur have joined Brighton, Southampton and Burnley in being linked to the U18 Republic of Ireland international.

A report from The Daily Mail states:

“Tottenham are among the clubs who will be watching 17-year-old Bolton midfielder Luca Connell against Reading in The Championship tonight. Connell, who made an assist on his first senior start against Bristol City in the FA Cup on Friday, has only six months left on his contract and Bolton may be pressed to sell this week because of their worrying financial situation.”

With a fee of £1 million mooted in previous stories, Connell is attracting plenty of interest.

I’d much rather see Connell given an extended run in the first team & the club try and tie him down to a long term deal. Hopefully he gets the chance to shine against Reading tonight.
