Chances of Bolton Wanderers adding to their ranks before the Transfer Window slams shut at 11pm this evening are, at best, slim. But Wanderers fans will be hopeful boss Phil Parkinson is working hard to add much-needed fresh blood to the squad.
As for the ‘chairman,’ he’s only likely to be trying to sell a certain young player. I’m more than expecting him to accept an “offer we couldn’t refuse” that will be a pitiful amount of money that the club will never see again - a la Madine, Clough, Holding and Ream - around 8pm this evening.
Potential moves we’re so far aware of are former Celtic and Hibernian defender Efe Ambrose and... Sunderland reject James Vaughan, who’s apparently off to Portsmouth.
But the biggest news that Bolton fans will have their eye on is potential Premier League interest in 17-year-old midfielder Luca Connell, who Brighton & Hove Albion are the latest team to be rumoured to keen on.
We’ll bring you all the latest news, rumours, gossip and, more likely, nonsense surrounding everything Bolton Wanderers related as the clock clicks down to 11pm. Check the Comments section below for updates.
