Adam Chicksen could add to his solo Zimbabwe appearance, as his application for a Zimbabwean passport is likely to be accepted.
Ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, assurances have been given from the authorities that players who have been struggling to obtain passports will be issued with the documents which will enable them to play for the Warriors.
Alongside Chicksen, Charlton Athletic’s Macauley Bonne, Bournemouth youth player Jordan Zemura and Swansea City defender Tivonge Rushesha are set to obtain passports to feature in the games against Zambia & Botswana.
Clemence Masango from the Zimbabwean FA stated:
“Players who applied for passports will get their passports in time for them to be eligible to represent the nation in matches against Botswana on 15 November (Home) & Zambia (Away) on 19 November.”
If selected, Chicksen will definitely miss Wanderers’ home game against MK Dons & possibly the following game against Accrington Stanley.
